1 post in this topic

Today Lavu has released POS Lavu version 2.2, and it is available for download in the app store.

Locations using Lavu Local Server (LLS) should contact support before updating the app to ensure that your local server is updated first.

What's new in 2.2?

  • Added option to have a printer set to always print individual kitchen tickets for each item sent

  • Added Scrollable description fields on item closeup screens to allow for longer descriptions

  • Implemented tax profiles to allow for greater flexibility for definint and assigning tax rates for menu categories and items

  • Modified workflow for gift and loyalty cards; user will now only be prompted to swipe card or enter info after payment has been received

  • Revamped checkout on the iPod and iPhone to display in portrait orientation

  • Revamped transition between order screen and checkout to provide for a more fluid user experience

*****Older versions of POS Lavu should be saved on iTunes*****

Before clients update, they should take the necessary steps to save the latest version onto iTunes. Please follow these steps before updating to 2.2.

- Sync a device to iTunes.

- Click on the section that is designated for the device, such as "Sarah's iPad."

- Click on the "App" tab. This will have all downloaded app icons visible to the client.

- Drag the POS Lavu icon (older version) onto the Library section of iTunes, and drop it. This will save that version to
iTunes.

- Eject the device.

- Once disconnected, go to the app store on the device and download 2.2.

2.2 has been beta tested by Lavu staff, as well as onsite by our beta clients. While we have worked through many possible scenarios, there are some that we have not accounted for. If clients are experiencing any issues, contact our support staff asap. They will be able to resolve the issue, or ask for development support. The more information we have to recreate the issue, the better.
